Christmas was good!

Lots of food, GOOD foods, lots of people (That's not a big yay for me) and heck, more gifts than I thought I'd get @-@

I got 2 goldfishes from MSCAROWYNHOMIE. (Which are BTW best Xmas present evurrr)
I got a lovely Knifeset called 'the Ex' (Google that! 8D),
Got a lovely Saddle protector for my FUTURE western saddle 9u9,
some clothes, some DVD's,
hammocks for my ratsies (THANKU carowyn!),
A lantern, some herbs that I can plant,
some kitchenstuff and a lovely fleece blanket C:
A good haul >D

I got cards from Icen (THANKU!), Carowyn (THANKUONCEMOREU<3), the parents and a family member!
Overall, a very good Christmas and waaay more calories than I could use >D

Hopefully it'll be as good in 2010 (but I'm sure of that!)

Some of you might be aware that in the internet gaming world, there is a war happening - quite literally. Valve, known for their Half-Life and Left 4 Dead fame, recently announced a contest between players of two different classes within their Team Fortress 2 game; an online arena team deathmatch game that pits players using various classes ranging from medic to scout against one another.

This contest puts the Demoman and Soldier classes against one another. Which ever class wins will get a unique upgrade weapon that the other class will not. This has brought many TF2 (Team Fortress 2) servers to their knees as the kill tally is already in the 7 digits on both sides.

This war of sorts also brought a mini-contest within the scope of its theme: proaganda poster art. Indeed, the winners have been announced and it seems that the first place winner is, indeed, a furry.
Consternation raged on on the forum as the fact of Jaxer's relation to the furry fandom brought a mini-flamewar on.

Furries from everywhere look at this thread with a smirk, as they now have proof that pointless drama is not exclusive to the fandom, but can also happen in all circles of life on the Electronic Highway. Some even stepped in to defend the name of "furry", but obviously did not manage to qualm other users' sentiments over the deal.
Some forum-goers went as far, maybe as a joke or not, as to request the removal of the winning poster (which is quite epic in this writer's point of view) on the basis that the artist is a furry.
Some more mature posters pointed out that the artist made an epicly awesome poster and his background as an anthro artist should not weight in the balance of the decision.

As of writing this post, the thread is 15 17 pages long.

UPDATE: As of 11:17pm EST, the thread was deleted by Valve's moderation group.
